5 Reasons why you should consider a Cruise
There are many reasons why I love cruising! The following are probably the most important ones for me.
1. Meeting New People
Okay, meeting new people is something you can do during any trip, going from backpacking to even at the airport. But still, the most friends I'm still in contact with, are the ones I met on a cruise. Is it because you dine together, are all on the same ship, share the same experience… I don't know. But at the end of the day, it's great to meet at your dinner table with the same persons and talk about what you did that day.
2. Convenience
Cruises leave from all over the world: Caribbean, USA, Europe, Asia… so wherever you live, there is a big possibility you don't even have to get on a plane. You can drive to the port and park your car for a week or use a transportation service to pick you up.
Taking a cruise is convenient in the way that you only have to unpack once. You get aboard, you settle yourself into your cabin and the ship takes you around. How easy is that!
3. Seeing Multiple Places in a Short Time
If you don't have a lot of days off, this is the perfect way to spend your vacation. Because the cruise takes you to different destinations, even different countries, in just a few days. While you sleep, the boat sets sail to the next port. That means you go to bed in for example Italy and you wake up in Greece. Pretty cool, don't you think.
4. Relax-Adventurous
How you spend your vacation on the cruise ship is totally up to you. You want to relax, hang out by the pool, go to the beach … or you want to be active and do some parasailing or hiking, all possible (depending on the port of calls, of course).
5. Price
And last, but certainly not the least, the price! If you compare the price of a cruise with a hotel stay somewhere, you'll find out that cruising isn't that expensive. If you book your hotel, add the bill of your food, renting a car to see places… this quickly adds up. A cruise offers your stay, food and sightseeing all in once.
So if you still doubted to take a cruise, I would say: Go for it! And see for yourself why so many people can't stop after their first cruise.
