Timanfaya National Park

Lanzarote's volcanic region is a must see for any visitor. Boasting a surreal scenery that is often likened to the surface of the moon.

Cesar Manrique Fountain

This island born artist fought against over development on Lanzarote and created all of Lanzarote's ecologically friendly attractions. The Foundation continues his work and is built over five bubbles in the lava flow.

The Jameos del Agua

Manrique's first major project on Lanzarote the Jameos was transformed from a collapsed lave tunnel into a stunning concert venue and tropical gardens. With a pool reserved for the sole use of the King of Spain.

The Valley of 1000 Palms

On this dry and arid island the Valley of 1000 Palms provides a verdant antidote. Created by locals who have long followed the tradition of planting a Canarian palm for every new born baby.

Historic Teguise

The former capital of the island until 1852 Teguise was the first Spanish settlement in the Canaries and is a real treasure trove of colonial architecture. The town also plays host to a massive market every Sunday morning.

Papagayo

Arguably the most beautiful of Lanzarote's 90 plus beaches, this set of five interconnected coves is located just outside the popular resort of Playa Blanca.

Museum of International & Contemporary Art

Housed in the historic Castillo de San Jose this small collection of modern art showcases the talents of creative Canarians such as Manrique and Lasso.
